Paul Beatty and his family have founded and managed a number of local events for a variety of local charities raising well over $1,000,000 to date! Some of these events include the Jack Beatty Mighty Niagara River Cruise, Hospice Memorial Regatta, Hospice Dash 5K Run/Walk, Mighty Niagara Half Marathon, Mighty Fitz 5K, Seneca Hickory Stick 5K Series, Holiday 5K at Old Fort Niagara, iRun WNY New Years Classic, Lewiston Porter 5K Glow Run and more.
RMS PRE-RACE EXPERIENCE: RMS will help you setup and manage your entire event using ITSYourRace.com. The event platform is free for race directors and easy to use for your participants. Event information, sponsors, results, fundraising, course maps, and much more are all available in one convenient location and we’ll be there to help you every step of the way! Approximately 24-48 hours before race day, bibs will be activated, labeled with runner information, sorted, and prepared for easy distribution at your event.
RMS RACE DAY EXPERIENCE: When the big day finally arrives, RMS will be there bright and early to setup one a world class finish line! We’ll position one of our custom race trailers on location and setup/test all timing equipment at least two hours before the race. Why so early? Because at RMS we are committed to helping the entire registration process run smoothly and will work closely with your volunteers to help ensure that everything goes off without a hitch! We’ll be happy to train (or review) proper procedures with your volunteers to ensure that packet pickup runs smoothly. Online registration can remain open right up until the start of the race and our staff will use laptops and tablets that can easily process hundreds of race day registrations with precision and ease.
RMS FINISH LINE EXPERIENCE: At RMS we pride ourselves on providing THE VERY BEST finish line experience no matter how big or small the event. While other timing companies will often show up with a few road road cones and a timing mat, RMS delivers a world class finish line experience at each and every race we time. Our custom finish line trailer will serve as a mobile command center allowing us to work under adverse conditions if needed. In fact, we probably spend more money on backup systems than our competitors spend on their entire timing system! Jaguar Platinum Timing Systems capable of timing up to 10,000 runners, custom Global Truss finish lines with overhead antennas (no trip hazards!), professional 1,000 watt multi-speaker sound system, finish line gates, safety cones, high visibility Jaguar time clocks, Tomcat handheld backup reader, digital video camera systems, Snapshot finish line photos, Honda generator, mile markers, start flags, and many other standard features allow us to provide fast and accurate results and a finish line experience that is second to none. One of my favorite features is our Jaguar Announcer software. Since our overhead antennas start picking up a signal from the timing chip as the runner approaches, we are able to see their information on our monitors and call out runners by name as they approach the finish line. Runners love this and are usually smiling as our cameras are snapping great finish line photos that can be viewed and shared for free on social media. Click here to see a sample video of one of our amazing start/finish line experiences!
AFTER THE RACE: RMS will setup a Race Results Kiosk and/or scrolling results television monitor at every race we time. Runners can visit the kiosk after crossing the finish line and print out a ticket showing their official finish time plus overall overall place, gender rank, and age group rank. All results are unofficial during the race in case we need to make any corrections before the awards ceremony due to bib swaps, improper bib placement, etc. In fact with our Snapshot camera system, we can assign an official finish time with complete confidence even if you forgot to wear your bib! Once the last runner crosses the finish line, RMS will print a detailed report for the race director to announce award winners. These reports can be customized to meet the unique needs of each event and we are even able to announce the awards if you would like. Results are also uploaded to the ITSYourRace event page and mobile app throughout the race so anyone in the world can have instant access to results, awards, photos, custom certificates and more.
